This vintage Simplicity pattern, originally released in the early 1990s, offers four versatile hat styles suitable for both adults and children:

  • The pattern includes lining, interlining, hat bands, and structural pieces like buckram or fusible tricot for stabilization.

  • Materials needed vary by style— e.g.,:

    • Baseball hat: requires ⅜ yd fabric, ⅞ yd fusible tricot, ¼ yd lining, ¼ yd buckram, ⅞ yd single-fold bias tape, and ¼″ elastic.

    • Crusher hat: needs 1 yd fabric, ½ yd contrast band, 1½ yd fusible tricot, ¾ yd lining, ¾ yd grosgrain ribbon, optional wire and large silk flowers.
